I had the opportunity to lead two whitewater kayakers down Section 4 of the Wolf River for their first run on this challenging stretch. With technical rapids, powerful currents, and plenty of opportunities to test skills, Section 4 delivered exactly the kind of adventure they were looking for. The day included a little bit of everything—capsizes, successful rolls, a few swims, and lessons learned along the way. Every challenge became an opportunity to build confidence, improve river-reading skills, and gain valuable experience in real whitewater conditions. What stood out most was the positive attitude and enthusiasm throughout the trip. Everyone stayed focused, encouraged each other, and kept smiling. That’s what progression in whitewater kayaking is all about: pushing your limits, learning from mistakes and having fun while doing it. Great job, Austin and Tristin, on stepping up to the challenge of Wolf River Section 4. 🚣♂️ Rapids conquered. 💦 Rolls practiced. 🏊 Swims survived. 😄 Smiles earned. Here’s the video from my phone.
