Well, 2020 was quite a year, wasn’t it? (Understatement of the decade, perhaps.) We know there was much sadness and anxiety locally and around the world but I hope you found many moments of joy and happiness as well. Here are some of my 2020 joyous highlights in list form, starting with numbers.

Number of individuals I paddled with:

  • 41

Number of kayakers I taught:

  • 22

Number of days I wished I had gone paddling but didn’t:

  • 6

Number of days I went paddling but wished I didn’t:

  • 0

Number of paddles lost or broken:

  • 0!
